What is a partner success manager (PSM)?
A Partner Success Manager (PSM) is responsible for ensuring that partners achieve measurable success within an organization’s partner ecosystem. This role focuses on enablement, engagement, and performance optimization to strengthen long-term partner relationships and drive mutual revenue growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing partner onboarding, training, and certification programs to ensure operational readiness and alignment with business objectives.
- Monitoring key performance indicators such as deal registration, pipeline activity, and partner engagement to evaluate overall partner health.
- Collaborating with internal teams across sales, marketing, and product management to address partner needs and support go-to-market initiatives.
PSMs act as the primary liaison between an organization and its partners, helping identify areas for improvement and ensuring partners have the tools, insights, and resources needed to deliver value. This role is central to maintaining a healthy partner ecosystem, improving retention rates, and driving higher ROI from indirect sales strategies.
